A Home That Lasts
Main Idea: God instituted marriage first and then out of that relationship, family. So it should be obvious that the enemy knows that to take down both the easiest pathway for him is to destroy the home. We need the construction materials of God’s Word and the fruit of the Spirit to build a God honoring home that will transition into being a Godly home full of love and acceptance.

1. God has to be the FOUNDATION and the FOCUS of the home.
2. God honoring homes are filled with LOVE.
3. God honoring homes should be a place of HARMONY and UNITY.
4. A God honoring home should be a place of Acceptance.
5. A God honoring home should be a place of PEACE.

1. Most of us have been shown generationally how a family operates. Some of us have been burdened with poor examples. What good and bad examples have you experienced and where have you seen God help you make changes in your life and family that have made a difference?
2. Conflict and confrontation are two of the hardest things we must do as a Christian. Talk about the importance of resolving disagreements and how to go about them in a biblical way.
3. Peace, love and acceptance should be three marks of a Godly home. How do you achieve these three things and how do you work to maintain them?
