DIGGING DEEPER
1) Matthew 9:14-17
a) What is Jesus communicating in these verses?
b) How does Jesus' presence in our lives affect our perspective?
c) Do people today have the tendency to be set in their ways and miss a new work that God is doing, and what would be an example of this?
2) Matthew 9:20-22
a) What do we learn from this woman's example?
b) How does Jesus respond to people that are desperate, in need, or are broken?
c) What is faith?
3) Matthew 9:18-19,23-26
a) How does the account in these verses illustrate what Jesus said in verses 14-17?
b) What does Jesus' power over death mean for us?
c) How did Jesus handle those who ridiculed Him, and what should we do if people treat us poorly because of our faith in Christ?
APPLICATION
Recognize Jesus' presence in your life, and rejoice. Know that whatever concerns you have, troubles you’re experiencing, Jesus has the power to solve those problems, or give grace to navigate them. He proved His power by raising from the dead, and by making you who were dead alive, Ephesians 2:5.
PRAYER: Lord help me to become more aware of Your ever constant presence in my life. Help me to take all my cares and concerns to You in prayer. Thank You for making me alive in You.
