If Job is great because he is godly, will he continue to be godly if he is not great?

Do people truly love God for who He is or what He gives?
Is God worthy of our worship regardless of our earthly circumstances?
Satan says to God: Your people don’t fear and honor You because of who You are, it is all about what You will do for them.
