1. What is one takeaway you had from the sermon and why did it stand out to you?
2. Read Ezekiel 34:1-24. What does this passage teach us about the calling of a spiritual shepherd of God's people? What temptations and struggles do spiritual shepherds face?
3. Read 1 Peter 5:1-5. As spiritual sheep, what do we do that makes spiritual shepherding difficult for shepherds (i.e., elders)?
4. How does our culture disciple us on how to view and use authority? How does Jesus' explanation in John 10:18 about his authority differ from our culture's approach? Describe how Jesus' practice of authority needs to shape one area of authority that God has given to you.
5. In John 10:11-18, what does Jesus tell us are the evidences that someone is genuinely one of his sheep? What would be the evidences that someone is a counterfeit sheep? How do counterfeit sheep impact Jesus' Church?
