“More than 80% of Christians do not know their spiritual gift or do not operate in it.”
(Fuller Theological Seminary)

Romans 12:6 – We have different gifts, according to the grace given us.

“A spiritual gift is a special supernatural ability that God gives to each of His children, so that together we can advance His purposes in this world.”

Acts 2:17-18 – “‘In the last days, God says,I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy,your young men will see visions,your old men will dream dreams.

3 Truths about Spiritual Gifts
1. God has called all of us to be ministers

Ephesians 4:11-12 // NLT – Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church; the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers.

(12) Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do His work and build up the church, the body of Christ.

Acts 10:38 // NIV – … God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power … He went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with Him.

Ephesians 2:10 // NIV – For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

1 Corinthians 12:7 // NLT – A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other.
3 Truths about Spiritual Gifts

Psalm 139:13-16 // NIV – For you created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;

Your works are wonderful, I know that full well … All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.

I was made for this
Truths about Spiritual Gifts
1. God has called all of us to be ministers.
2. Every gift God has given is unique and important.
3. The gifts God has given me show me who I am.

Romans 12:3-6 // NIV – Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you.

Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts…

Romans 12:3 // NIV – Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you.
Highly = an improper view.

Sober = having a right mind.

Faith = allowing the One who created you to give the right view.

Romans 12:3 (PCV = Pastor Curt Version) – “Do not have the wrong view of who you are but rather be set free and put in your right mind by allowing the One who created you to show you who you are and what you were created to do.”
