Forgiveness is NOT a feeling
Forgiveness is not condoning the act
Forgiveness does not make you a doormat
What forgiveness IS:
Forgiveness IS releasing my hope for a better past
Forgiveness IS unfair
The hallmark of grace is forgiveness, and one aspect of forgiveness is the attitude, I'm giving up my right to retaliation - my right to hurt you back
Forgiveness is releasing the power of Jesus into my life
How to forgive:
The first step is to realize that God has or is willing to forgive YOU
The next step is to forgive
Release your right to retaliate
Not forgiving someone is like being in a jail cell that you hold the key to
