FAMILY/GROUP DISCUSSION:
(Get more out of this message by talking it over with your family around the lunch table, at your next small group meeting, or with a friend or two at your favorite coffee shop)
In Ephesians 4:14, Paul warns against being "tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine." How can the diverse spiritual gifts mentioned in the passage (apostles, prophets, evangelists, shepherds, and teachers) help guard against such instability?
According to Ephesians 4:15, believers are called to "grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ." What are some practical ways we can actively pursue spiritual growth and maturity in our daily lives and within our local fellowship?
Ephesians 4:16 emphasizes the importance of every part of the body working together, "when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love." How can we ensure that each member of the Church is empowered to contribute their unique gifts and talents for the edification of the whole body?
In Ephesians 4:15, Paul encourages believers to "speak the truth in love." How can we strike a balance between truth and love in our interactions with others, especially when addressing difficult or controversial topics within the Church and society?
