Carpeting and Parking Lot Maintenance
The timeline for the carpet is tentatively soon after VBS. The timeline for the parking lot is now, weather permitting.

Elementary Game Night
Sunday, April 21 | 6-8pm This will be an energy-filled night of games, free play, snacks, and hanging out with friends. Kids might see the 9-Square and dodgeballs come out of the closet! Drop your kids off in the gym at 6pm. Anytime after 7:30pm, pick up your kids in the upstairs game room (note the change of location).

Milestone Readers
Monday, April 22 | 10am | MC Milestones and Kim Raloff are starting a book club that will meet on the fourth Monday of the month at 10am, starting April 22. They will read Carried: How One Mother’s Trust in God Helped Her through the Unthinkable. Sign up behind the Welcome Desk.

MC Milestones Coffee 'n' Learn
Monday, April 29 | 10am | MC Milestones has invited Nicholas Raloff to come and speak about internet security - things such as social media privacy, passwords, multi-factor authentication, and click-on scams. He will also be taking questions from the audience. Enjoy some coffee and learn how to protect yourselves online.

Manteno Kids' Mothers' and Grandmothers' Brunch
Sunday, May 5 | 11:45am | Manteno Kids through 4th grade and their mothers, grandmothers, and special women in their lives are invited to celebrate grateful hearts at a special pre-Mothers' Day Brunch. The brunch will take place following the 2nd worship service on May 5 in the McCormick Center.

Fully Alive: Watch Your Mouth<br>April 21, 2024 <br>I Peter 3:8-12<br><br> I Peter 3:8-12 Finally, all of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble. Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing. For,<br>“Whoever would love life (Fully Alive)<br> and see good days<br> must keep their tongue from evil<br> and their lips from deceitful speech.<br> They must turn from evil and do good;<br> they must seek peace and pursue it.<br>For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous<br> and his ears are attentive to their prayer,<br> but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.”<br><br><i>Words impact how we act and react. </i><br><br>Are the words I speak building people up or tearing them down?<br><br>Do my words build up the body of Christ in a way that helps us be <i>likeminded</i>? <br><br>I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord; Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit; Born of the Virgin Mary; Suffered under Pontius Pilate; Was crucified, dead and buried; He descended into Hell; The third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven; And sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; From thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit; The Holy Christian (Catholic or Universal) Church, the Communion of Saints; The Forgiveness of sins; The Resurrection of the body; And the life everlasting. Amen.<br><br>Are my words <i>sympathetic</i>? <br><br>Finally, all of you, be like-minded, be <i>sympathetic</i>,<br><br>Finally, all of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, <i>be compassionate...</i><br><br>Peter winds up this verse with a call to <i>humility</i>. <br><br>Psalm 19:12 But who can discern their own errors? Forgive my hidden faults. Keep your servant also from willful sins; may they not rule over me. Then I will be blameless, innocent of great transgression. May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer.<br><br><i>Try memorizing</i> Psalm 19:14 <br>May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer.<br><br>..Individuals have walked away from their faith and away from a church because of <i>unkind, unsympathetic</i> and <i>judgmental</i> words spoken by well meaning yet <i>condescending</i> believers. <br><br>Now let’s all go out and find someone to <i>encourage</i> with words of love and hope. <br><br><br><br>
