Sermon Outline
Daniel Chapter 7 Part 2

This page is normally an outline. For the book of Daniel, the chapters are the outline, and we will discuss the content and bring in other related content. That means this page is a place to jot down notes that you want to remember and things that God impresses upon you during the service.
Digging Deeper for the sermon on April 14th, 2024

Perspective, this week provides us with the opportunity to consider three perspectives – God’s, Satan’s, and our own.

Read Daniel 7:9-10, 13-18, 26-27.
What do you learn about God in these verses? What do you learn about the future? How do these few verses cause you to praise God?
Read Psalm 104 Write your own Psalm of praise to God from your own knowledge of God and encounters with God.

Read Daniel 7:11-12, 19-25.
The antichrist will speak against the Most High. The spirit of the antichrist is among us today in the way that people speak against God.
Do you recognize and/or discern between the Spirit of God and the voice of the antichrist?
How do we recognize what is of God and what is false?
Read 1 John 4
Who do you know that is from God? How do they encourage you in the faith?
Who do you know that is not from God? How can you tell?
How do you interact with those who are not from God?
In Daniel 7:25 it says that the antichrist will wear out the saints. How is the spirit of the antichrist wearing you out today?
What will you do to build up your strength in God to resist and shine light in this world while you have the opportunity?

Personal perspectives to ponder:

AW Tozer – “Much of our difficulty as seeking Christians stems from our unwillingness to take God as he is and adjust our lives accordingly. We insist upon trying to modify him and to bring him nearer to our own image.”

Phil Robertson – “I became a sinner when I announced to God, he was unfit to be God and I could do a better job if I sat on his throne. It’s when I called him a liar. It’s when I accused him of holding out on me. Sin is a rebellion, an active treason against the kingdom of God. It’s when we doubt the goodness and faithfulness of the Almighty and begin to do things in our own way.”

How do you see these perspectives in Satan, other people, and even yourself at times? What do we do to align our thinking with God?
