In the Egyptian’s attempt to deal wisely with the Israelites, a new policy was put in place that would drastically change life for the Israelites. Gone would be the days of shepherding, abundance and prosperity. Instead, a new era of taskmasters, afflictions and burdens would take their place.

The Birth of Moses
Moses was born at a very dangerous time. Thankfully God worked in the midwives, to NOT kill every baby boy being born. Thankfully, God worked in Moses' mother, to have faith with Moses' young life. He was crying louder and she was concerned that someone would come to their house and find that they had a baby boy there.
By faith, she built a floating bassinet, trusting God that her son would not drown inside of it. By faith, she put that bassinet among the reeds by the river bed, trusting God that her son would not just float down the river. By faith, she had her daughter stand at a distance and keep an eye on the bassinet, trusting that someone would come along, see the bassinet, and have pity on her son.

We live in a world with a lot of darkness and death - but here are some lessons we can live by:
Lesson #1 - Faith gives us the assurance that the darkness and death found in this world’s environment does not escape God’s notice.
Lesson #2 - Faith gives us the conviction that the darkness and death found in this world’s environment does not eclipse God’s concern.
Lesson #3 - Faith gives us the security that the darkness and death found in this world’s environment does not erase God’s promises.
