Find Security in Your Spiritual Position
Ephesians 1:11-14

DIVERSITY – we’re not all the same
EQUITY – we should all be treated equally
INCLUSION – no one should be excluded because of their differences.

Regardless of our past, if our faith is in Christ, we belong.

There is no room for arrogance in the body of Christ.

There is no room for shame in the body of Christ.

WE EXIST “FOR THE PRAISE OF HIS GLORY”

GLORY = greatness, splendor, majesty, worthiness

PRAISE = to shine my spotlight on that which is glorious.

What happens in my relationships when my focus becomes “the praise of His glory”?

When I embrace my identity and my belonging in Christ, I have great security in my relationship with God.

My “enough” is Christ.

My hope is in CHRIST, not in ME.
It's in HIS worthiness, not in my own.

My SECURITY is in the promise of God,
not in my level of commitment to Him.
It's in God's GRACE, not my MERIT.

Next steps with God:

- Which of these questions do you need to ponder with God?
Do I have the mark of the Holy Spirit that comes through faith in Jesus?
Do I have spiritual security because of God’s promise to me as His child?
Do I naturally tend toward arrogance or shame? How does our identity in Christ challenge both of these tendencies?
Whose glory am I living for, my own or God’s? Whose glory do I want to live for?

- Write a letter of thanks and/or commitment to God, reflecting on all He’s done for you and how you want to respond in gratitude & praise.
