Tipping Point
A moment of critical mass. A threshhold. A boiling point.
The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the tipping point of human history.
EVERYONE CAN AGREE
• A trouble-making Jewish rabbi named Jesus of Nazareth was crucified by the Jewish religious establishment and Roman Empire.

• About 350 years after the crucifixion of that Jewish rabbi, the Roman Empire considered him a god.

• Two thousand years later, 2.5 billion people believe that Jewish rabbi is divine and gather weekly to worship him.
WHAT HAPPENED?
• Something happened.
There were no Christians because there was no Christ.

There was no hope because when Jesus died, hope died with Jesus.
The early Christians did not invent the empty tomb and the ‘meetings’ or ‘sightings’ of the risen Jesus in order to explain a faith they already had. No, they developed that faith because...of what they saw, because of what they experienced, because what they didn’t think was going to happen – or could happen – DID.

WHAT HAPPENED?
• Something happened.
• It launched a movement.
The resurrection of Jesus created our faith.
WHAT HAPPENED?
• Something happened.
• It launched a movement.
• It produced a Bible.
Without the Resurrection, there would be no Bible.
The only reason the story of Jesus was worth telling was the resurrection.
WHAT HAPPENED?
• Something happened.
• It launched a movement.
• It produced a Bible.
• It still matters today.
Jesus paved the way for us to have a relationship with God.
