Why Do Christians Let Us Down?
Some of Jesus’ strongest words were directed at those who claimed to believe in God and follow His law, and yet denied Him by the way they lived.
Hypocrite = Greek hypokrites - an actor, a stage player
Jesus wasn’t calling out their sin, he was calling out their show.

Why do Christians let us down?
1. Because some aren't really Christians.

2. Because some are immature Christians.
3. Because even mature Christians still mess up
How do you heal when Christians let you down?
Shake it off and move on!

- They’re made of the same mud you are!
- It wasn’t the whole church; it was a few people!
- It was people who let you down, not God!
If you have lost faith in Jesus because of people, maybe your faith is in people instead of Jesus.

TALK IT OVER
- Read Psalm 103:14. What might change about your response to people who let you down if you remembered they were only dust?- Have you been disappointed by church or other Christians? If so, share what you learned from that experience. How can you take a step toward healing?
- Are there any areas in your life where you’re being hypocritical or judgmental? How could embracing God’s grace help you have a more loving response?
