What are the Myths of Marriage?
Myth #1: We Both EXPECT the Same Thing in Marriage
Most conflicting expectations fall into two major categories:
A. Unspoken RULES
B. Unconscious ROLES

Myth #2: Everything IMPROVES in Our Relationship Once We Get Married
Myth #3: Marriage will CURE the Bad Things in Our Individual Lives
Myth #4: My Married Partner Will Instantly Make Me COMPLETE

1. Did you receive any basic training before you were married? Is so, what was it?
2. Can you think of one or two things where marriage was considerably different than what you had in your mind before you were married? If so, what were they?
3. Someone said that a marriage is made in heaven but the details must be worked out on earth. What would you say is the best thing to keep in mind as you communicate with your spouse regarding something that could be a challenge between the two of you?
