Introduction
It’s time for a faith check-up. Am I drifting from Jesus or neglecting him? His gift of salvation from guilt and shame is too great to miss.
I. Jesus is our guilt bearer - Hebrews 2:17
II. Jesus is our shame bearer
1. We have fallen from glory and honor and bear shame all the time.
2. Jesus the perfect representative man leaves glory and honor in order to bear shame and restore glory and honor to us.
3. He is made lower than the angels; He shares flesh and blood; He shares life with a shameful people; He dies a shameful death.
III. How can Jesus’ shame covering ministry work its way into our thinking and acting?
1. Shame from within
2. Shame from the outside
Conclusion
Shame is always around the corner, but we don’t need to dread it. Jesus lives in honor now. He shares his honor with you gladly. That is your great salvation. Don’t miss it.
