4. Read 1 Samuel 18:1-2. Have you ever had a friend who was different than you? How were you different? How did it affect your friendship?
5. Read 1 Samuel 18:3 and Matthew 22:37-39. How is a true friendship built upon the Great Commandment?
6. Read 1 Samuel 18:4. Describe a situation when a friend has shown you great humility and kindness. How did your relationship change as a result?

13. Read Proverbs 17:17. Describe what “all times” can look like. Have you ever had a friendship grow out of difficulty? Explain.
14. Read 1 Samuel 25:15-18. What does it mean to “encourage him in his faith in God”?
15. Read John 15:13-15. How is Jesus the ultimate friend? In what ways can you lean into Him more?
16. How can you model Jesus’s example of friendship to others?
17. How are you going to apply what you’ve learned from the life of David this week?
