“I know your deeds; you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead. [2] Wake up!” Revelation 3:1b-2a
“But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I will come to you.” – Revelation 3:3b
The church cannot survive without the Truth of Jesus and the Word of God, nor can it survive without the Life of God in every believer a given through the Holy Spirit when we are saved.
Do we have a reputation of being alive but are really spiritually dead?
It doesn’t matter whether you have the whole world fooled, Jesus knows who we really are!
We are not supposed to just fake our walk with Christ. Whatever we really are on the inside will be seen by Jesus Himself.
“Wake Up!”
How many times do we just go through the motions or are just coasting along in our jobs, relationships, or our spiritual walk and relationship with God?
We need to Wake Up, church family. We need to realize we are at war. The enemy is lulling us into a false sense of safety and a false reality, but we need to open our eyes and stay awake and alert.
Our world, our nation, and our churches need to be revived and brought back to life! We need a revival!!
Christ loves to defeat death.
Pastor, Dr. David Jeremiah, gave 5 points Jesus gave for the Church in Sardis as it relates to us.
1.Be Sensitive to Sin – (verse 2)
2.Be Supportive of the Faithful – (verses 2, 4)
3.Be Submissive to the Control of the Holy Spirit – (verse 3)
4.Be Subject to the Authority of God’s Word (verse 3)
5.Be Sorry and Repent of Sin (verse 3)

Why do we fear what other people think?
God created us. Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us. He made a way to have a relationship with God through Him for eternity. He is the One who has any power over us living and dead. He cares for us so much, yet we reject Him so many times.
Choose today to acknowledge Him before others publicly and live for Him publicly and privately and He will acknowledge us before God and His angels.
“Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”
Are we listening and paying attention to what Jesus is saying to us?
