We were created by love, and we were created to love. It is not good for man to be alone; God created us for intimacy, and sexual intimacy is a gift from God.
The context for sexual intimacy is marriage; sex outside of marriage is an open door for the enemy to steal, kill, and destroy.
True Eros love comes with a covenant; a covenant to leave and cleave. Lust is driven by self-gratification; true Eros love; is driven by mutual satisfaction.
Satan does everything he can to get you to have sex before marriage, and he does everything he can to keep you from having sex after marriage.
Why? Because sexual intimacy is the one thing that sets your marriage apart from every other relationship.
God’s first command to mankind was “Be Fruitful and Multiply.” Sexual intimacy in marriage creates unity: life and reproduces the image of God in the earth. Children are a gift from God and the ultimate goal of intimacy.
