Live It Out:
The path to true greatness requires surrendering our idea of greatness and embracing God’s idea. As God unfolds his will through the lives of his people, you have a choice on how you respond. Today, choose your response. You can respond like…
…Saul. You can hold tightly to what you want and put your focus on comparison and competition.
OR
…Jonathan. You can hold loosely to your idea of success, happiness, and significance. You can choose to trust God and celebrate His plans for you and for others.
Choose celebration. Reject comparison and competition. Embrace who God has called you to be and who He has called others to be. Recognize that God’s will is perfect and good, and it is a privilege to participate in what He is doing.
Spend time with God this week, in prayer and in the Word. Ask Him to reveal to you the areas where you need to choose celebration and reject comparison and competition. Have honest conversations with Him, sharing with Him your concerns. Surrender to His will in the process.
