Structure of Peter’s Challenge:
a. Our Good Works are Our Greatest Witness (1 Peter 2:11-12)
i. Obeying Authorities to Honor Christ (1 Peter 2:13-17)
ii. Honoring Christ by following His Example (1 Peter 2:18-25)
iii. Serving our Spouses to Honor Christ (1 Peter 3:1-7)

While we are commanded to submit to human authorities, we are not
permitted to follow them into sin.

Because we are God’s possession, we don’t fight for recognition. We give ourselves to others in the same posture as Christ who gave Himself to us.

Women are not worthy of respect in spite of weakness, but because of it.
