Love comes from God because God is love. Love is not what He does, it's who He is. God demonstrated His love by sending Jesus as a sacrifice for our sins.
The greatest commandment in the Bible is love; love God and love your neighbor as yourself.
We have been set free from the law of sin and death, so we can serve one another in love. Our freedom in Christ is not a license to sin, but it is a calling to love.
God’s love (agape) is a sacrificial love. It’s the kind of love that lays down its life and suffers loss so others might gain. Agape love is an unconditional love birthed out of God’s heart, not man’s response.
We love others because God loved us. It’s easy to love others with the love of God, but it’s hard to watch them reject His love.
