Marysville Nazarene Church
Thirst - Feast of the Tabernacle
Water makes up 60-75% of our body weight. Scientists have long known water is essential for life. During this Lenten season we will “dive deep into” scripture and discover how essential water is to our spiritual lives as well. Through the gospel of John we will be invited to quench our thirst and drink of the living water we find in Jesus Christ.

“We do not draw people to Christ by loudly discrediting what they believe, by telling them how wrong they are and how right we are, but by showing them a light that is so lovely that they want with all their hearts to know the source of it.” - Madeleine L’Engle
“The man who is wise, therefore, will see his life as more like a reservoir than a canal. The canal simultaneously pours out what it receives; the reservoir retains the water till it is filled, then discharges the overflow without loss to itself ... Today there are many in the Church who act like canals, the reservoirs are far too rare ...” - Bernard of Clairveaux
