1. Because it forces us to consider virtue
2. Because it forces us to consider value
* Temporal- measured or limited by time, or by this life or this state of things; having limited existence; opposed to eternal
* Eternal- without beginning or end of existence

III. KEEPING OUR EYES ON ETERNITY, COMMANDS OUR PERSERVERANCE
* Perseverance- persistence in anything undertaken; continued pursuit or prosecution of any business or enterprise begun.

1. Because of what we know
* Groan- To breathe with a deep murmuring sound; to utter a mournful voice, as in pain or sorrow.

2. Because of what we expect
* Faint- to weaken, become feeble, dejected, weary
