Would you rather be in a relationship that is brand new, exciting and fun, or in a relationship that’s been through some challenges and has survived?

Adam = “man”

Adamah = “ground”

EDEN = “pleasure”

What 2 or 3 words would you use to describe the ideal relationship?

“Naked & Unashamed”

Jesus’ parting wish is that we would be ONE.

“Naked & Unashamed”

- Accepted as we are
- Loved without condition
- Free to share our deepest self without a hint of fear of rejection

CREATION– God made it all perfect.

FALL– We messed it up by rebelling against God.

REDEMPTION–Because He loves us, God sent Jesus to die for our sins so we could be forgiven.

RESTORATION–One day, those who’ve been forgiven through Jesus will be restored to the kind of relationship Adam & Eve had with each other & with God – “naked & unashamed” – forever.

Next Steps:

- If I have one, thank God for a specific relationship in my life that is emotionally and spiritually “naked & unashamed”.

- If I don’t have a relationship like this, ask God to bring me to a place where I can genuinely be “naked and unashamed” with another person.

- Read through Genesis 2-3 a couple of times this week, considering relationships as God designed them, compared with relationships as they often are.

- Begin praying with greater intensity and hope for healing in a relationship in my life that has been damaged.
