The Culture & Power of Prayer - Phil Kendon
In the letter to the Ephesians, Paul describes the armour that we should wear in the spiritual battle against evil. He ends that text by calling us to pray. It is a call that invites to develop a culture of prayer in our lives – to pray in every circumstance and with every type of prayer. It is also an invitation to seek power in prayer; power to witness to others. Paul knows he is totally dependent on God for his ministry and for any effectiveness he might have. Nothing of any eternal value ever happens unless God is involved, and God is involved when we pray.
