Operation Christmas Child Update

Because of your generosity on Christmas Eve, Pax is able to donate 56 gift boxes to children in countries that are hard to reach with the gospel in our world.

For every box received, each child also receives the message of the hope available to them because of who Jesus was and what he has done!

Thank you for helping to reach our world with the Gospel!

House Churches

Would you like to get connected at Pax?
We would love for you to join us for house church during the week.

If you would like to join the community, you can find house church listings by visiting:
https://paxchristian.church/house-church/
and clicking on the "find a house church" button.

House Churches are gatherings of people who live near one another; we meet in homes in local neighborhoods around our community. House Churches meet once a week to share a meal, get to know one another, pray for each other, worship, study the bible, and participate in communion together.

Love Our Teachers

Each year we bless the Staff and teachers at C.C. Meneley Elementary by hosting a Valentine’s Day lunch on February 14th. It is one way we let the school know we are here and we care.

Through out the year we have been collecting donations for teachers to gift them as part of this luncheon.

We are still in need of the following items:
Sharpies
Felt-tipped Markers
#2 pencils
Coffee Gift Cards

If you would like to donate to help provide lunch or assist in catering please let Pastor Mandy know.

Thank you in advance for blessing our community in Jesus' name.
Should the life of a Christian, or Christ follower, look different because of their faith?

Should your life look differently because you are a follower of Jesus?

Should the life of a christian look different than the lives of others because of their faith?
Deeds are the evidence that faith is alive and real.
FAITH PRODUCES ACTION, WITHOUT ACTION FAITH DIES
Genuine faith produces action or deeds.
Faith without action is dead.
DEEDS ARE THE EVIDENCE OF FAITH

Jesus pointed to his deeds to show who he was,

In the same way Jesus calls his followers to do good deeds to show who God is…
In the same way, Jesus calls his followers to do more than simply know he is messiah and listen to his teachings and he sends them out to do good deeds as well.

Just as he calls the disciples to go out and do good deeds he has also called us.
Our good works serve as a witness and testify to who God is and what Jesus did on this earth.

Our good works will serve as evidence that our faith is genuine and cause others to praise God.

GOOD DEEDS ARE THE EVIDENCE IN OUR FAITH IS REAL
GOOD DEEDS ARE EVIDENCE IN OUR LIVES THAT GOD IS REAL

Our good deeds show others that God is real.
James began this discussion about faith and deeds by asking the question:

"What good is it brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them?" (James 2:14)

The conclusion is that faith without deeds is dead.

This was never a question of whether your faith can save you, it was a question of the validity of a faith that doesn't result in a willing obedience to serve God outwardly and act as a witness to who God is and what he has done in our world.

The question is do you really believe that God is who he says he is, do you really believe that God did what he says he has done? Do you really believe that he is coming back?

If so, how then will you live out that faith?

How can you bring glory to God by doing good deeds?

How can you bring glory to God by being obedient like Abraham?

How can you bring glory to God by being willing to help others like Rahab?

COMMUNION

We believe in an open communion, and would like to invite anyone who has professed faith in Jesus to participate with us this morning.

Communion elements will be made available at the close of service at the front of the room, please wait to come forward until we have prayed for communion.

The bread represents the body of Christ.
The juice/cup represents the blood of Christ.

BAPTISM

Are you ready to be baptized? In the Bible, when people come to faith in Christ, and they ask "what do I do now?" the answer is consistently baptism. In baptism, we identify with Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection as we lay down our lives in the water, and come to new life in Christ. If you believe Jesus is Lord and are ready to make that declaration in your life, sign up and we would love to baptize you.
