To GLORIFY something is to give honor or positive attention to that thing.

What kind of protection do I need?
- my own emotions
- distraction/discouragement
- doing/saying stupid things
- my mental health
- temptation/greed
- financial hardship
- physical health
- my kids
- travel
- cyber criminals
- lies of the world

What kind of protection do I need MOST?

“Protect them… so that they may be one as we are one.”

- oneness with God
- oneness with each other

What is the level of unity Jesus prays for?

“May they be one as we are one.” John 17:11

Our JOY is tied to our oneness (both with God and one another).

“I am coming to You now, but I say these things while I am still in the world, so that they may have the full measure of My joy within them.”

John 17:13

“Protect them.” In what way?

- That they may be one (with God and each other)
- Protect their joy.
- Protect them from the evil one.

- Am I a genuine child of God?
(If so, thank God this prayer applies to you! If not, read John’s gospel, with the purpose of coming to a better understanding of who Jesus truly is.)

- Talk to God about an area where I need His protection right now.
(Try to think about an area that is consistent with Jesus’ prayer. Protection of your relationship with God or with other followers of Jesus, protection from loss of joy, from the influence of the evil one.)
