Lie #1: Something really Bad is going to happen.
Lie #2: The more you worry about it, the better your odds of Avoiding it.
Lie #3: I have no Choice—I’m a born worrier.
Lie #4: I can Control the outcome by worrying.
ANALYSIS: The Case Against WORRY!
1. Worry is Unreasonable.
“Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?
2. Worry is Unnatural.
Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27 Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?
3. Worry is Unhelpful.
Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? Vs 27
4. Worry is Unnecessary.
So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; 29 and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?

5. Worry is "Unbelieving".
“Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.
Vs 31-32
WORD POWER: Seek (zeteo) to look for with earnest and diligence.
WORD POWER: Kingdom of God: (basileus) “…God’s present spiritual RULE and REIGN over His people.
He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, 14 in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. Col 1:13
APPLICATION: Practical Steps in Seeking the Kingdom FIRST
First speaks of PRIORITY! Give Jesus the….
1. First few minutes of the day.
2. First day of the week
3. First month of the year
4. First words of Gratitude
5. First 10th of your income
6. Consider First what Jesus would do:
