Jesus Prays: GLORIFY

John 17:1-5

To GLORIFY something is to give honor or positive attention to that thing.

First phrase: “The time has come”

John 17:1

Second phrase: “Glorify Your Son, that Your Son may glorify You.”

John 17:1

Third phrase: “For You granted Him authority over all people that He might give eternal life to all those You have given Him.”

John 17:2

Fourth phrase: “Now this is eternal life: that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent.”

John 17:3

God the Father gave glory to God the Son
so that He could grant eternal life to us,
So that we could join the Son
in giving glory to the Father,
which is the one place where we will find the most complete satisfaction.

Do you know God, know God, or is He still more of an idea for you?

Fifth phrase: “I have brought You glory on earth by completing the work You gave me to do.”

John 17:4

Is God’s glory what you’re living for?

Sixth phrase: “And now, Father, glorify Me in Your presence with the glory I had with You before the world began.”

John 17:5

How can I bring glory to God at my workplace?

- Attitude
- Character
- Work ethic
- Witness

How can I bring glory to God at my home?

- Humility
- Love
- Mercy
