II. Disciplining Elders 5:19-21

"A single witness shall not suffice against a person for any crime or for any wrong in connection with any offense that he has committed. Only on the evidence of two witnesses or of three witnesses shall a charge be established.

Matthew 18: 15-20

Galatians 6:1
Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted.

III. Choosing Elders 5:22-25

1. Choose elders according to the qualification given.
I Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9

2. We are guilty (of participating in their sin) if we ordain people whose lives are not right with God

3. Wait, observe, don’t rush.

4. Pray

Lessons for all

Even though you may not be an elder, God still expects us striving to be holy, righteous and Christlike

We all have areas in our lives God is dealing with.
