LifePoint Family Christmas - How to Build an Altar

Locations & Times

Lifepoint Church

195 N Washington Ave, Lebanon, MO 65536, USA

Sunday 10:00 AM

An Altar was a place of sacrifice, a place of redemption, a place of memorial, a place of remembering Gods provision, breakthrough, and his power. An Altar was a place where the divine, and the human interacted. It was a place of exchange, a place of encounter.
God made it so there was no hurdle to acknowledge Gods goodness in your life, to acknowledge what God has done, to come back to God and be redeemed.
There is power in the Altar!
God has a great track record of showing up, when we need Him!
God has now made each of us a living stone and a holy priesthood which essentially means we carry the Altar with us!
What is a new covenant altar?
How do we build a new covenant altar?
We build an Altar when we give our wills to Jesus to be burned up by the fire of His Spirit! We do this by offering praise! Praise leads to Thanksgiving, which leads to complete surrender.
We return to the feet of Jesus
We come to the Altar to Alter our perspective about God, which then Alters our lives.
I wonder if the pace of our promises, and our purposes, were based on the rate of our return
God wants us to establish a practice of Returning back to him before we step into what’s new.
What is the rate of your return?
