The Gospel Message
God Made You and Loves You
God created the world and everything in it. He created you in His image, and He loves you more deeply than you can imagine (Genesis 1-2; Psalm 139:13-16).
You Sinned and Separated Yourself from God
God created you to be in relationship with Him, but you have chosen to go your own way instead. The Bible calls turning away from God’s path sin, and all people have all sinned. Your sin separates you from God, and if you die separated from God, you remain separated from His goodness in a real and terrible place called Hell (Romans 3:23 and 6:23).
God Loves You and Sent His Son to Rescue You
In His great love for you, God made a way for you to be forgiven of your sin and restored to a right relationship with Him. God loves you so much that He sent His only Son Jesus to rescue you (John 3:16).
Jesus Died on the Cross for Your Sin
To rescue you, Jesus lived a life without sin and then died the death you deserved for your sin. At the cross, Jesus died in your place to pay the price for your sin. By His death on the cross, Jesus paid for your sin in full (Romans 5:8; 2 Corinthians 5:21).
Jesus Rose Again from the Grave
Three days later, Jesus arose from the grave and lives today! By His resurrection from the dead, Jesus won the victory over sin, death, Satan, and Hell. Because Jesus lives, those who put their faith and trust in Him live forever with Him (1 Corinthians 15:3-4)!
You Must Respond
God loves you, even though you are a sinner. God has made a way for you to be with Him forever through Jesus’ death on the cross and resurrection from the grave. His arms are open to receive you, but you must respond (Matthew 11:28). Here’s how…
Repent. Confess to God that you have sinned and deserve to be separated from Him. Turn away from sin and turn toward God (Mark 1:15; Acts 2:38).
Believe. Believe the Good News that Jesus Christ died for you and rose again from the grave (Ephesians 2:8-10).
Receive. Ask Jesus to forgive you of your sin and to be your Lord and Savior. Give Him full authority over your life, and seek to follow His way instead of yours (Luke 9:23; John 1:12).
