II. The Security - Philippians 1:20-21
A. The Seal of the Episcopal Diocese of Georgia shows an ox standing in front of an altar and a plow with the Latin motto in utrumque paratus agere et pati -
B. Paul’s only goal was that Christ would be magnified - v. 20 Magnified = to make great or to enlarge
C. Paul was happy to magnify Christ in life or death - v. 21

III. The Dilemma Philippians 1:22-24
A. This was not an active choice that Paul was making, but rather two competing desires - Philippians 1:22-24 NLT
B. To go to Christ was better for Paul but to stay better for others - v. 23-24, Ecclesiastes 7:1

IV. The Determination - Philippians 1:25-26
A. Again Paul uses the word “Know” - v. 19, 25
B. Paul’s motivation was the growing faith of others -v.25, 3 John 1:2-4
C. Paul enjoyed being an example of God’s faithfulness - v. 26, 1 Peter 5:2-3
