1. JESUS WAS THE PROPHESIED MESSIAH.
Jesus was human.
Isaiah 9:6 (ESV) For to us a child is born, to us a son is given;
Jesus was divine.
Isaiah 7:14 (ESV) A virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
Jesus is the Last Adam.
1 Corinthians 15:45-47 (ESV) The first man Adam became a living being”; the last Adam became a life-giving spirit. But it is not the spiritual that is first but the natural, and then the spiritual. The first man was from the earth, a man of dust; the second man is from heaven.
Jesus was human.

2. JESUS WAS THE SON OF DAVID*
Jesus was the Root of Jesse.
Romans 15:12 (ESV) And again Isaiah says, “The root of Jesse will come, even he who arises to rule the Gentiles; in him will the Gentiles hope.”
Jesus was the Seed of David.
Revelation 22:16 (ESV) I am the root and seed of David.
Romans 1:3 (ESV) Concerning His son, who was descended from David according to the flesh.
Jesus is the King of Kings.
Isaiah 9:7 (ESV) Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it.
* The numeric value of the name David: 6 + 4 + 6 = 14
Matthew 1:17 (NIV) So all the generations from Abraham to David were fourteen generations, and from David to the deportation to Babylon fourteen generations, and from the deportation to Babylon to
the Christ fourteen generations.
Jesus was the Root of Jesse.

3. JESUS WAS THE SON OF ABRAHAM

Jesus was the firstborn of all creation.
Colossians 1:15 (ESV) And He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by Him all things were created.
Jesus is the Great I AM.
John 8:56-58 (ESV) Your father Abraham rejoiced that he would see my day. He saw it and was glad.” So the Jews said to him, “You are not
yet fifty years old, and have you seen Abraham?” Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am.
