Worship Gathering - The Story of Christmas
Focus this Sunday:
This Sunday we begin a new sermon series called The Story of Christmas. How well do we know the Christmas story? It comes around every year, doesn't it? And sometimes we do the story a disservice due to how familiar we are with it. Sometimes we romanticize it and don't fully think about the impact on the characters in the story.
The Story of Christmas includes real people working through real life... and so they certainly have something to say to us as we experience some of the same type moments in our lives. What can we learn from their experiences? With life? With God? What does God want to say to you this Christmas season?

1. What is one thing that stood out to you from this week’s message?2. How is the Nativity story often depicted in popular culture? How does this reflect and not reflect reality?
3. Imagine you don’t already know the Nativity story. How would Mary’s situation initially strike you?
4. Are you experiencing any disappoints or hardships this Christmas season?
5. How can you encourage others in your disappointments?
6. How can we pray for each other in this?
