BIG IDEA:
God came into the world through Jesus because He wants us to walk with Him.
God came into the world through Jesus because He wants us to walk with Him.
That’s what faith is. Faith is walking with God through all of life’s joys and heartaches; and that runs strong in Jesus’ family.
FAITH IN JESUS’ FAMILY:
The focal point of the idea of the faith of these early progenitors of Jesus is that they walked with God.
o Adam in Genesis 3:8, Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the Lord God among the trees of the garden.
o Enoch in Genesis 5:22, After he became the father of Methuselah, Enoch walked faithfully with God 300 years and had other sons and daughters.
o Noah in Genesis 6:9, This is the account of Noah and his family. Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked faithfully with God.
o Abraham in Genesis 17:1, When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to him and said, “I am God Almighty; walk before me faithfully and be blameless.

FAITH IN JESUS’ LIFE:
Jesus says:
o If you want to know what the Father is like, look at me.
o If you want to know what the Father says, listen to me.
o If you want to know what the Father’s work is, look at what I do.

FAITH IN YOUR LIFE:
Part of the message of Christmas is that because Jesus walked perfectly with God as a human, we are enabled to do the same thing!
~ Jesus walked with God in perfect innocence
~ Jesus walked with God in intimate relationship
~ Jesus walked with God in significant conflict (with culture)
~ Jesus walked with God in complete trust

PHASE 2: IT CHANGES THE WORLD
VISION BENEDICTION
We BRING our brokenness to Jesus because a CHANGE to wholeness is the story we SHARE.
