Use this space to take your general notes during the message.
Over the past few weeks we have been talking about what it truly means to live "the good life". We have discussed the importance of generosity, gratitude and worship. There is one more truth about the good life that we need to remember; generosity is ultimately about LOVE.
Ice Breaker: How does love impact our desire to be generous? Remember, when we are talking about generosity, we are not just talking about money. Time is precious and being generous with our time is equally important.
God set the pace for this! Read John 3:16 & 1 John 4:9. In these verses, how do we see love and giving going hand in hand?

John 3:16

1 John 4:9

Read John 13:34-35. What is Jesus' expectation for His followers?

John 13:34-35

Pastor Jonathan said "Love for God is best displayed in Love for others". What does this mean?
So how can we do this "giving thing" better this Christmas? Pastor Jonathan reminded us of the real St. Nicholas who lived 300 years after Jesus. St. Nicholas gave generously to people in secret. How did the actions of St. Nicholas illustrate his love for Jesus?
The truth is that generous people have more fun! Pray to our Heavenly Father. Ask Him to fill your heart with the same love for Jesus as St. Nicholas had all those years ago, and to reveal ways that you can share the Love of Jesus through generosity this holiday season!
