Hypostatic union is a technical term in Christian theology to describe the union of Christ's humanity and divinity in one individual personhood.
Jesus embodied the biggest no that resulted in the greatest yes.

A BIG NO FOR A GREAT YES
1. Usual patterns and people to give margin for no

vs. 39 (Jesus went out as usual….and his disciples followed him)
2. Unusual prayer to direct the heart to no

vs. 40 (pray that you do not fall into temptation)
3. Ultimately personal responsibility

vs. 41 (He withdrew about a stone’s throw)

4. Unifying purpose that directed the no

vs. 42 (not my will, but yours be done)

What is the purpose behind your no?
5. Unyielding process that helped Jesus say no

vs. 43-44 (an angel appeared and strengthened him; in anguish, he prayed more earnestly)
… I just can't give up now
I've come too far from where
I started from
Nobody told me
The road would be easy
And I don't believe
He's brought me this far
To leave me
6. Unlikely predicament on the path to no

vs. 45-46 (exhausted from sorrow…sleeping)
Might this be depression?
Might this be depression?

‘exhausted from sorrow’ or ‘overcome by grief’

A BIG NO FOR A GREAT YES
“Martha, Martha, you are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”
Understanding How to Receive No
1. God is sovereign over that no.
2. The no isn’t a rejection of you, just the request.
3. The no doesn’t mean the person doesn’t love you or care for you.
4. In receiving a no, you have the right to be angry but do not sin.
5. You’ll only get angry and sin for receiving a no if you think the world revolves around you or the topic of request that got declined.
