we are to give thanks IN all circumstances NOT “for” all circumstances.

Evil, injustice, and cruelty exist every day in this world. Scripture never instructs us to give thanks for wicked, immoral, and sinful circumstances but to give thanks in them.

GOD IS ALWAYS WITH US

Giving thanks is an act of faith! We have to “see” beyond our circumstances. Instead of walking by sight, we walk by faith and look to Jesus.

Jesus understands what we are going through

The Holy Spirit is in us, comforting, encouraging, and strengthening us.

We all will experience trials, tribulations, pain, and loss of loved ones. The difference is that those who trust in Jesus can experience the peace that surpasses all understanding because we have an Advocate Who has gone before us and endured ALL things and has conquered and defeated sin and death and has given us the gift of God’s own Holy Spirit to live in us and give us His peace! Those without Christ will never be able to understand or experience this type of peace unless they experience God’s love for us by trusting in His Son for Salvation! - Pastor Todd Cox
