The Master is telling us, the real issue, it’s not the tongue, but it’s a heart issue.

2. Put the focus on others.

How to change an insecure heart:
1. Realize you are totally secure in Him.
2. Practice gratitude for all God’s provision in your life.

1. Get in God’s word - Faith or belief come from hearing God’s word.
2. Ask Jesus to Increase your faith

Determine not to dismiss those promptings of God’s spirit to encourage others.

Keys to life-giving words:
1. Focus on your heart first.
2. Be honest.
3. Take thoughts captive.

Lord, let my words satisfy You. Let my words glorify Christ Jesus. Let my words minister unto others. Let my words build up those around me. Let my words restore others. Let my words build others up. Let my words be acceptable to You. Help me to choose my words wisely. I surrender my heart to You. I surrender my language to you. I surrender my conduct to you, I surrender every area of my life over to you.
