“A Praying Life" Sermon Questions
1. How do you start your prayers to God? What is the first thing you say?
2. Many Psalms being by praising God for who he is. Look at Psalm 145. What descriptions of God do you see?
3. Read Nehemiah 9:6. What passages elsewhere in the Bible does it remind you of?
4. How does Nehemiah 9:9-15 compare to your life? Are there similarities in how God has dealt with you over the years?
5. Read verses 18-21 out loud in your group. Then read Exodus 32:1-6. Take a few minutes to note the similarities and differences.
6. How do the above passages remind us of our own sin? How do we see God’s grace in the midst of our own sin in our lives?
7. How do we see God’s faithfulness in our own lives? What specifically has he done for you? 8. How can you pray differently after reading this passage?
