The Greek word for community is koinonia. It means community, fellowship, participation, contribution, and generosity. Generosity is a selfless act of love, freely given to benefit others.
Generosity enables us to care for and meet one another’s needs.
Generosity breaks the stronghold of greed, which is the love of money. It empowers us to be free and fruitful in the Kingdom of God.
Generosity stores up treasure in heaven; it creates an eternal investment.
Generosity releases the blessing of God upon our lives. It enables us to experience the joy of giving.
We are never more like God than when we give. Every good thing that we have, comes from the generous hand of God.
Generosity is a thoughtful, voluntary, and cheerful act of loving obedience to God.
