Romans 12:9-16 part 5
This Sunday Anthony will be bringing us the latest message in our Romans sermon series. All welcome! Anthony says: "This Sunday, we are instructed to be Joyful, Patient, and Faithful. Sounds achievable. But wait one minute, what are we meant to be Joyful about? And when are we meant to be Patient? And what are we meant to be Faithful in? We will drill into these things and see that inside of the human experience of pain and suffering, on the surface, the instruction to be Joyful, Patient, and Faithful can seem, at best, unachievable and, at worst, insensitive. Romans 12:12 get around it!"

Rejoice in our confident hope. Be patient in trouble, and keep on praying.
Rejoicing in hope, being patient in tribulation, being constant in prayer.
Let your hope keep you joyful, be patient in your troubles, and pray at all times.
Rejoicing in hope; enduring in troubles; continuing steadfastly in prayer.
Rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer.
And hoping is not dreaming. It is not spinning an illusion or fantasy to protect us from our boredom or our pain. It means a confident, alert expectation that God will do what he said he will do."
