Fourfold Purpose of the Church’s Existence
1. Ministry to the LORD

The chief purpose for the Church’s existence is to glorify and worship God. All things were created for Him and for a relationship with Him.
So, how do we WORSHIP?
We worship the God of the Bible. We do not worship God thru any images, relics, priests or ministers, or God of our own concept, but the God of the Bible Who is Spirit.
A. Worship in SPIRIT means that the Holy Spirit is quickening our redeemed spirit to worship God who is Spirit
B. Worship in TRUTH means to worship according to the way God has set out in His Word

C. Basic INGREDIENTS of a Worship Service
1) They ASSEMBLED Together

2. Ministry to the SAINTS
The second purpose for the Church’s existence is to edify itself; this being done by the saints ministering to one another.
A. Built up in the most holy FAITH
B. Built up in the IMAGE of Christ
C. Built up in the WORK of their ministry
D. Built up to be a COVERING and protection
E. Built up to MINISTER to one another
3. Ministry to the SINNER
When our ministry to the Lord becomes effective, then our ministry to each other will become more effective.
And when our ministry to each other as the saints is effective, our ministry to the world and to the unsaved will become effective.
And when our ministry to each other as the saints is effective, our ministry to the world and to the unsaved will become effective.
4. Ministry of being VICTORIOUS
This Church Jesus is building will be clothed with the armor of God and spiritual weapons of warfare for battle.
The four keys in Acts were the WORD, the Holy Spirit, the use of the Name of Jesus and the Prayers of the Saints.
The message of the Lord’s KINGDOM is repentance, faith and baptism.

2. What does it mean to be committed to a local Church?
3. Do you believe that it’s truly possible to have the ministry of the four purposes functioning in your life and not be truly committed to a local Church body? Is do why? If not, why?
