We are so glad you joined us today. Pax is a non-denominational church that exists to live and share the gospel of peace. (Romans 5:1-11)

Halloween Lights
Let's shine brightly for Jesus this Halloween!
When Halloween is one night a year when our community literally comes knocking on our doors. Instead of turning off our lights and hiding from the neighbors, we want to shine the light of Jesus in our neighborhoods.
What We do this by challenging people in our church to host a Halloween Lights night. If you live in a neighborhood with high trick-or-treat activity and want to host a site, sign up at:
Sign Up to Host or Help Each site supplies hot dogs/buns/waters in addition to candy as a way to bless their neighbors and engage in conversation. We offer prayer whenever appropriate and make sure people know we are out there because we have been challenged to bless our neighbors.
It is incredible to hear what this means to people. We believe that good deed, lead to good will, which leads to openness to the Gospel. This is one way we are present in the community blessing others as the body of Christ and we would love for you to jump in!

This noun usually refers to a person who provides testimony... As in the OT, two or more witnesses are required for reliable testimony

let us throw off... anything that might hold us back AND/OR sin...
and let us run... the race marked out for us: a life of faith.

In two of its four occurrences in the nt archēgos likely means “prince” or “ruler.” In both passages the term refers to Jesus (compare Heb 2:10; 12:2). Peter blames the Jews for having saved a murderer and killing Jesus, the “prince of life” (ton archēgon tēs zōēs; Acts 3:15). This passage depicts Jesus as the author and ruler of life. Acts 5:31 declares that God has raised Jesus to his right hand where he reigns as “leader and savior” (archēgon kai sōtēra). and who brings it to completion.

We believe in an open communion, and would like to invite anyone who has professed faith in Jesus to participate with us this morning.
Communion elements will be made available at the close of service at the front of the room, please wait to come forward until we have prayed for communion.
The bread represents the body of Christ.
The juice/cup represents the blood of Christ.

BAPTISM
Are you ready to be baptized? In the Bible, when people come to faith in Christ, and they ask "what do I do now?" the answer is consistently baptism. In baptism, we identify with Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection as we lay down our lives in the water, and come to new life in Christ. If you believe Jesus is Lord and are ready to make that declaration in your life, sign up and we would love to baptize you.
