Apostasy - a defection or revolt, is the formal disaffiliation from, abandonment of, or renunciation of a religion by a person.
It can also be defined within the broader context of embracing an opinion contrary to one's previous religious beliefs.

The danger of apostasy is very real, as evident from Paul's second epistle to Timothy.
a. Those in Asia had forsaken Paul, including Phygellus and Hermogenes.

b. Some had strayed from the truth, in particular Hymenaeus and Philetus.
c. The possibility of apostasy explains Paul's admonitions to Timothy.

To avoid apostasy, we too must "be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.

Let's understand grace and how to be strong in it:

B. We have victory over the power of sin.
C. He does this through the Holy Spirit.
D. Be fruitful in life.
E. We can have abundance for every good work by His grace.
F. We should serve people with our gifts as "good stewards of the grace of God.
G. Hope for a glorious future.
