The Jesus Priority and Our Busyness Problem
In the cultural setting Martha is doing what is right, Mary is doing something very wrong.
Jesus is breaking cultural mores by recognizing Mary, a woman, as His disciple equal with men.
Martha is distracted from Jesus, trying to do things for Jesus when the situation is a perfect opportunity to simply enjoy being in the company of Jesus and learn from Him.

Youth Group @ Canobie: October 29
**NEW DATE**
Students in grades 7-12 are invited to join us for a trip to Canobie on Sunday, October 29! Admission is $35. Please plan to bring a packed lunch and/or money for any desired in-park purchases.
Drop-off and pick up will be at BeFree Barrington. Please arrive by 11:45am—we want to leave by 12pm to get there for the 1pm opening. We’ll return by 7:30pm. Our annual permission slip is required! Fill one out here: https://befree.church/barrington-youth-form. When you arrive for drop-off, we'll ask your parent/guardian to verify your provided info and sign a copy for our records.
You must RSVP for this event to secure a seat and allow us to purchase an advance ticket. RSVP to Nikki <nichole.guntz@gmail.com> by the end of the day on Friday, October 20.

Senior Breakfast: November 9
Calling all BeFree folks ages 55 and up: get ready to celebrate Thanksgiving a little early at our next Senior Breakfast! We'll meet at the church on Thursday, November 9 from 9-11:30am. We'll be joined by Warren Hardy as our speaker.
Student Study: Acts
Students in grades 5-12 are invited to join us at the church from 9-10am on Sunday mornings to study the book of Acts. Donuts provided!
Men's Group: Saturdays at 8am
Men of all ages are invited to join us for coffee, fellowship, and a study time weekly on Saturday mornings at 8:00am. We’ll be reading and reviewing “Gentle and Lowly: The Heart of Christ for Sinners and Sufferers” by Dane Ortland. Help BeFree MOPS Expand its Ministry!
BeFree MOPS has a waiting list of moms looking to be welcomed in, but we need more women to join us in children’s ministry to make this ministry happen. MOPS meets on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month from 9-11am at BeFree Barrington.
MOPS is also looking for "Mentor Moms" who are willing to provide support and encouragement to the moms during our meetings.
