Even when we go through a BITTER SEASON, we must cling to the truth we have a BETTER SAVIOR
1. Running away from God will make your life more bitter, not better.

“And they went to Moab and lived there.”
Now, Elimelek, Naomi’s husband, died, and she was left with her two sons.”
“They married Moabite women, one named Orpah and the other Ruth.”
After they had lived there about ten years, both Mahlon and Kilion also died….”

Running away from God will make you bitter, not better.
2. God will show up in your bitterness and begin showing you He is better.
How does God show up and begin showing that He is better?
1. She still has her health.
2. She hears her land has produced food.
3. She experiences the Lord’s kindness through her sacrificial daughter-in-law, Ruth.
4. She returns during the beginning of the barley harvest

1. The beautiful kindness of Naomi, even in bitterness, probably prompted her conversion.

Three takeaways from Naomi’s bitterness:
1. Don’t let your bitterness blind you from seeing God’s goodness.
2. Don’t let your bitter trial turn you into a bad theologian.
3. Don’t let your bitterness in life keep you from realizing that the Lord is better than life.
