Discussion Questions
1. How are family relationships unique in life?
2. How does the image of the local church as “God’s household” help us to understand the way in which we should relate to one another and resolve differences (check out Galatians 6:10 and Ephesians 2:16-19)
3. Why is it important to understand the church is about transformation as well as information?
4. Read John 18:37 and Colossians 1:3-5. How do these verses reinforce the concept of the church as “a pillar and buttress of truth.”
5. Read through the confession “list” Paul gives in verse 16. Discuss how these truths about Jesus provide a foundation for confession of Christians all around the world.
