Prayer: Dear Lord, thank You for Your word. Your word is like food for my soul as it provides nourishment and keeps me alive. The food I eat with my mouth only meets the physical need in my life but Your word feeds my soul and brings me to life. Lord, please give my soul a desire for Your word just as my body desires food to stay alive.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank You for Your Son, Jesus! Thank You for the word made flesh. Lord when I read Your word I am filled with joy as it is a testimony of Your love for me. Lord, You came down and lived among us to show us the way back to You. Lord I want to the spend the rest of life getting to know You more and to one day see Your glory.

Help me, Lord, to not chase after the things You do for me, but help me to seek You for who You are.
